Eight passengers sustained injuries in a Thursday morning microbus accident on the Narayangadh-Muglin road in Bharatpur Metropolitan City. Four of the injured are in serious condition.
The accident occurred at 5:00 a.m. during a security check near the Nepal Police Highway Safety and Traffic Management Office. A microbus (Ga 2 Kha 225) collided with a stopped passenger bus (No. 01-006 Kha 4888) heading from Jhapa to Kathmandu. The microbus then veered off the road and crashed into a garage adjacent to Kamala Neupane’s house.
All injured individuals were passengers on the microbus and are receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College’s teaching hospital. The microbus driver has been detained by police.
