In a joint operation, the Drug Control Bureau and the District Police Office apprehended Bhagirath Harijan, a resident of Kishanganj, Bihar, India, on drug dealing charges.
During the arrest, Harijan allegedly attacked the police and fired two rounds, prompting the police to retaliate. SSP Govinda Thapaliya confirmed that Harijan sustained injuries in the incident and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
A police sub-inspector also suffered minor injuries. Authorities recovered 128 grams of brown heroin from the suspect.
