Two men were seriously injured in a motorcycle accident involving a tipper truck in Salyan district on Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 3:00 PM at Kalle Khola in Chhatreshwori Rural Municipality, Ward 6. A motorcycle (number plate RA 4 PA 9236) traveling from Srinagar to Tulsipur of Dang collided with a tipper (number plate RA 1 KHA 2224).
The riders, identified as 25-year-old Khagendra BK and 28-year-old ManBir Bik of Bagchaur Municipality Ward 8, Kotmoula, sustained serious injuries. They were transported to the Provincial Hospital Tulsipur for treatment.
Deputy Superintendent of Police NaBin Karki confirmed the incident and said that both the tipper and its driver are currently in police custody. The driver is being held at the Luham police station.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
