A motorcyclist lost his life in a collision on the Mahendranagar-Suda section of the East-West Highway in Kanchanpur on Friday night.
The victim, 27-year-old Sanjib Chaudhary, was driving a motorcycle (Su Pra 02003 Pa 6970) eastward on the highway when he collided with a tractor (Se 1 ta 2268), according to District Traffic Police Office Inspector Naresh BK.
Chaudhary sustained severe injuries in the accident and succumbed to them while undergoing treatment at the Mahakali Provincial Hospital.
Another motorcyclist, Manoj Chaudhary, was also injured in the incident. He is receiving treatment in Dhangadhi, Kailali.
The police have apprehended the tractor driver, Ramu Rana.
