Motorcyclist Loses Life in Accident with Gas Bullet Vehicle on East-West Highway

A tragic accident occurred on the East-West Highway in Makwanpur Manahari rural municipality, claiming the life of a woman.

The incident unfolded when a motorcycle (Ga 7 Pa 2304) traveling westbound collided with a gas bullet vehicle (AS-25 DC0211) with an Indian number plate heading eastbound. The gas bullet vehicle, driven by 37-year-old Manindra Kumar Das from Bihar, struck the motorcycle head-on.

The pillion rider, 33-year-old Nirmala Adhikari of Kaski Pokhara-11, bore the brunt of the impact and sustained severe injuries. Despite being rushed to Chure Hill Hospital in Hetaunda for treatment, she succumbed to her wounds.

The motorcyclist, Subas Gurung, was also injured in the crash and is currently receiving treatment at the same hospital.

Manindra Kumar Das, the driver of the gas bullet vehicle, has been taken into custody by the local police office in Manhari for further investigation.
