A 35-year-old woman, Anita Kumari Sah, was found dead on Friday night in Siraha’s Golbazar Municipality-6. Police suspect foul play, with initial evidence indicating the victim was killed by a blunt object, possibly a stone, to the face.
Anita’s husband, Mahendra Kumar Sah, was also injured in the incident and is currently receiving treatment. The couple operated a hotel in a rented house belonging to Sikindra Sah.
Police were alerted to the incident at 2 a.m. A team led by Superintendent of Police (SP) Santosh Acharya is conducting an on-site investigation. Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the possible murder.
SP Acharya stated that the investigation is exploring multiple angles. Authorities are utilizing a trained police dog from Lalgadh, Dhanusa to aid in the investigation.
