Journalist Nabin Pyasi Rai is in critical condition at KMC Hospital in Sinamangal after a serious scooter accident in Kamaladi at approximately 4 AM on Saturday. Police report that Rai was riding as a passenger on a scooter when it crashed.
The driver of the scooter, Ugrasen Rayamajhi, was injured and is currently in police custody. He fled the scene of the accident but was later apprehended.
