Kathmandu, Nepal: The Nepal Astronomical Society (NASO) made history by successfully hosting the inaugural International Astronomical Olympiad in Asia. Held in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, the event attracted 21 teams of young scientists and researchers from 19 countries.

Despite competing with the allure of the Dashain festival, the Olympiad garnered significant participation and enthusiasm from the young minds involved. The event showcased the talent and dedication of students from around the world, providing them with a platform to exchange knowledge and ideas.
