Ireland Wolves opened their ODI series against Nepal A with a 21-run victory on Wednesday. Nepal ‘A’ won the toss and elected to field, a decision that initially paid off.

Kamal Singh Aire starred for the hosts, taking four wickets – including a sensational hat-trick – to restrict Ireland Wolves to 157 all out. Cade Carmichael top-scored for Ireland Wolves with a gritty 51, offering crucial resistance.

In response, Nepal ‘A’ found the going tough. Despite a battling 37 from Shahab Alam, they lost wickets regularly and were eventually bowled out for 136, handing Ireland Wolves the win and a 1-0 lead in the series.
