KATHMANDU, NEPAL – The government of Nepal has officially recognized the orange as the country’s national fruit. This decision was announced by Minister of Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma during a cabinet meeting held on Friday. The declaration is intended to promote and support the growth of Nepal’s orange production industry.
Oranges are a highly popular fruit in Nepal and the country boasts several well-known areas dedicated to orange cultivation.
