Kathmandu is set to host the 15th meeting of the Nepal-European Union Joint Commission today. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the high-level gathering will comprehensively review the bilateral relations between the two sides, covering areas of cooperation spanning regional and multilateral issues of mutual interest.

The Nepali delegation will be steered by Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal, while the European contingent will be led by Paola Pampaloni, Deputy Managing Director for Asia and the Pacific at the European External Action Service.

This pivotal meeting follows closely on the heels of the Nepal-EU Sub-Commission on Development Cooperation held on March 6th at the Ministry of Finance. That subsidiary meeting facilitated an in-depth exchange of views on the ongoing development collaboration between Nepal and the European Union.

As two entities bound by longstanding ties, both sides are expected to utilize this platform to explore new avenues for enriching their multifaceted partnership while addressing pressing concerns through constructive dialogue and diplomacy. The outcomes of these discussions could potentially chart the course for stronger cooperation in the days ahead.
