Kathmandu, Nepal – The 3rd Nepal Investment Summit (NIS) 2024 began today, aiming to bolster Nepal’s position as a promising investment destination. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ inaugurated the event, which features prominent international figures, including former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Ministers from India and the UK.
The Summit provides a platform for investors to engage with decision-makers and explore diverse investment projects. Key sectors highlighted include hydropower, tourism, IT, agriculture, and manufacturing.
“We are prioritizing foreign direct investment and have streamlined processes to create a favorable business environment,” said Sushil Bhatta, CEO of the Investment Board, Nepal (IBN).
The two-day Summit includes discussions on renewable energy, green finance, and enhancing Nepal’s business climate. It attracts over 1,700 participants from 55 countries, signaling strong international interest in Nepal’s potential.
