Dambulla, Sri Lanka: Nepal have elected to field first in their opening match of the ACC Women’s Asia Cup T20 against the UAE. Captain Indu Barma won the toss and made the decision to bowl first under sunny conditions in Dambulla.
This is Nepal’s third appearance in the Asia Cup, having previously participated in the 2012 and 2016 editions without registering a win. The team will be looking to break the losing streak and secure their first-ever victory in the tournament.
Nepal and the UAE have faced each other four times in T20I cricket, with Nepal winning two matches and losing one. One match was abandoned due to rain.
