Kathmandu, Nepal – The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced that the Nepalese national cricket team will tour Sri Lanka before their upcoming CWC League 2 Series in Canada. As part of their preparation for this crucial series, Nepal will engage in a three-match One Day series against the Sri Lanka Development Squad.
The squad for the tour has already been finalized, with Rohit Paudel set to lead the 19-player contingent during their week-long stay in Sri Lanka. Both Paudel and DS Airee, who recently participated in the GT20 in Canada, will also be part of the series.
The team is scheduled to have a practice session on September 2 before kicking off the series on September 3. After a day of rest, Nepal will play the second and third matches on September 5 and 7, respectively.
Nepal’s tour to Sri Lanka comes as a valuable warm-up for their upcoming Canadian tour, where they will compete in the second Tri-series alongside Oman and Canada. In the previous Tri-series held on home ground in February, Nepal faced three defeats and managed to secure only one win against the Netherlands and Namibia.
