Several provinces in Nepal, particularly Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati, have experienced significant rainfall today, including continuous showers in the Kathmandu Valley. Meteorologists predict this rainy weather will continue for the next three days.
“While the intensity of the rain may lessen,” reported meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari, “showers are likely. A new weather system is expected after three days, potentially bringing further rainfall.”
Adhikari urges residents of Koshi and Madhesh provinces to be especially cautious today (Thursday), as storms are possible. Rainfall is expected across the country tonight as well, with a slight decrease in intensity projected for Friday.
The latest report indicates Kathmandu has received 9.8 millimeters of rain today, while Janakpur recorded the highest rainfall at 15 millimeters.
The ongoing weather patterns are caused by a western low-pressure system and a low-pressure system near India’s Bihar region.
