The weather forecast division of Nepal’s Department of Water and Meteorology predicts light rain with lightning across the hilly areas of the Koshi, Wagmati, and Gandaki provinces for the next three days. Additionally, moderate rain is possible in the hilly areas of the Far West and Midwest regions.
Meteorologist Saroj Pudasaini explains this forecast is due to the combined influence of western winds and local winds. Snowfall is also expected in higher altitude and Himalayan areas.
In the next 24 hours, the forecast calls for light rain with thunder in some areas of the Koshi, Wagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with one or two locations in the Madhes province. The remaining hilly regions can also expect some precipitation.
