The Department of Water and Meteorology reports that a western low-pressure system, along with local weather patterns, is causing varied weather across Nepal.
Currently, most of the country enjoys mostly clear skies. Hilly regions experience partly cloudy conditions with isolated instances of light rain, thunder, and lightning in Gandaki province.
This afternoon, skies are expected to clear in the hilly areas of the Far West and Karnali provinces. Gandaki province, along with Far West and Karnali provinces, may see scattered light rain.
Light snowfall is possible in a few locations within the Karnali and Sudurpaschim regions. The Lumbini region could experience storms in some areas.
Tonight, expect mostly clear skies in hilly areas, with partly cloudy conditions elsewhere. Light snowfall is possible in a few higher altitude locations within the Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali regions.
