The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has announced Women’s team will be competing in the ACC Women’s Asia Cup! This eight-team tournament marks a significant opportunity for the squad.
Despite a semi-final loss to Malaysia in the ACC Women’s Premier Cup last February, Nepal has been given a second chance. The ACC’s expansion of the tournament opened the door for both Nepal and Thailand to participate.
This will be Nepal’s third appearance in the Asia Cup, having previously competed in 2012 and 2016. In Group ‘A’, Nepal faces formidable opponents: India, Pakistan, and the UAE. Their schedule includes matches against Pakistan on July 19th, UAE on July 21st, and India on July 23rd.
Group ‘B’ features Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Thailand.
