Renowned Nepalese table tennis player, Selisha Khadgi, sadly passed away on Friday. She had been battling stomach cancer for an extended period.
Khadgi, aged 30, was cremated in Kirtipur on the same day. Her departure marks a significant loss for the Nepalese sports community.
A talented athlete, Selisha represented Nepal in various international competitions, including:
- Asian Table Tennis Championship 2015: Pattaya, Thailand
- 12th South Asian Games (SAG) 2016: Guwahati and Shillong, India
In 2009, she brought pride to the nation by winning a bronze medal at the OGC South Asian Junior Table Tennis Championship in Jaipur, India.
Her untimely demise is deeply mourned by her family, friends, and the entire sporting fraternity of Nepal.
