Nepali Army Truck Catches Fire in Makawanpur

A fire in a Nepali Army truck broke out on Thursday, September 5, causing significant damage. The incident occurred in Thaha Municipality, Makawanpur district, while the truck was en route to Simbhanjyang for training.

The truck, bearing the registration number BA 1 GA 3436, was traveling from No. 7 Bahini Chanwan when the fire started. Local authorities confirmed that the truck was destroyed in the blaze, which occurred near the Kursi turn on the Daman-Shikharkot road section.

According to the Palung Area Police Office, the fire was caused by a fuel leak after the truck’s fuel tank ruptured. The leak ignited, causing the truck to catch fire. There were 18 people on board the truck at the time, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The Thaha Municipality fire brigade responded to the emergency and successfully extinguished the fire. Residents and military personnel were on the scene to assist in the aftermath.
