The second phase of the ‘Sambad Yatra’ led by Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Thapa kicked off today from Gaurigunj in Nawalparasi. Thapa commenced the journey by offering garlands to the statue of BP Koirala at the local square this morning.
Previously, the ‘Sambad Yatra’ had started from Mechi Bridge in Jhapa and paused upon reaching Gopigunj in Nawalparasi. Now, entering its second leg, the journey is set to span three days, traversing through various districts including Nawalparasi, Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Dang, and Banke.
NC central member Ajay Babu Siwakoti disclosed that during this phase, Thapa will engage in dialogues with locals, attentively addressing their concerns. The route will take Thapa from Nawalparasi to Rupandehi via Patkhauli, making stops at district party offices along the postal route.
Thapa’s itinerary includes interactions with industrialists in Bhairahawa and discussions on local issues upon reaching Bethri. This phase of the ‘Sambad Yatra’ aims to foster direct communication with citizens and address pertinent issues facing various communities.
