Just five days after its premiere in Nepal, the film ‘Agastya’ has begun screenings in the Middle East. International distributor Seven Seas has brought the film to theaters in the UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain, including major chains like Vox Star, Cine Royal, Cinepolis, Cineco, and Nova.
“The regular screening of Nepali films in these countries is a major success,” noted distributor Ramesh Dhakal. ‘Agastya’ joins a growing trend of Nepali films finding audiences abroad alongside their domestic release.
Directed by Saurabh Chaudhary, ‘Agastya’ features a star cast including Saugat Malla, Malika Mahat, Nazir Hussain, and Pramod Agrahari. The film tackles the important issue of human trafficking between Nepal and India.
