A 28-year-old Nepali man, Suresh Kumar Ojha from Dhangadhi, Kailali, has been missing in Portugal since July 5th. Ojha, who emigrated to Portugal two years ago via Poland, was working in a restaurant in Lisbon.
According to Dipesh Bista, the president of the Far Western Nepali Society Portugal, Ojha had become homeless and was rescued from a metro station in critical condition. He was placed in a hostel in Lisbon but subsequently disappeared.
Despite multiple rescue attempts and preparations to send him back to Nepal, Ojha remains missing. The Nepali community in Portugal is actively searching for him, with the support of various organizations.
Ojha’s family, particularly his elderly mother and five sisters, is deeply concerned and has appealed for help in locating him. Dhangadhi Mayor Gopal Hamal has also urged the Nepali community in Portugal to assist in the search through social media.
