Nepal’s ruling coalition will release its Common Minimum Program (CMP) today, outlining a roadmap for addressing key national priorities. The program was developed by a 10-member task force representing the five parties within the coalition.
After finalizing the draft on Saturday, the task force presented it to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and other senior leaders for approval.
The CMP is expected to focus on:
- Implementing and safeguarding the constitution
- Stimulating economic growth and addressing economic hardships
- Restoring hope and confidence among the Nepali people
Task force coordinator Bishnu Paudel (CPN-UML Vice Chairman) led the team that included representatives from the Maoist Center, Rastriya Swatantra Party, United Socialist Party, and Janta Samajwadi Party.
