Nestled in the ancient charm and spiritual aura of Nepal, Janakpur is poised to attract couples seeking to tie the knot amidst its captivating ambiance.

Lumbini to Welcome Birth Tourism Furthermore, Minister Pun announced plans to enhance Lumbini’s appeal as a destination for birth tourism. As the birthplace of Lord Buddha, Lumbini holds immense religious and historical significance, making it an ideal location for expectant mothers seeking a spiritually enriching experience during childbirth.

Diversifying Tourism Offerings The government’s move to designate Janakpur as Nepal’s premier wedding hub and Lumbini as a welcoming destination for birth tourism reflects a strategic effort to diversify the country’s tourism offerings and capitalize on its unique cultural heritage.

“By leveraging the profound spiritual and historical significance of these iconic cities, we aim to attract a diverse range of visitors and establish Nepal as a premier destination for cultural tourism,” Minister Pun stated during the budget presentation.

The initiatives are expected to generate new economic opportunities, promote cultural preservation, and showcase Nepal’s rich heritage to a global audience.
