Kathmandu: Nepal’s men’s beach volleyball team has secured a spot in the finals of the CAVA Beach Volleyball Championship in Thimpu, Bhutan. The duo of Man Bahadur Shrestha and Dil Bahadur Sunar defeated the Maldives B team in straight sets (21-10, 21-16) in the semifinals.
This achievement comes on the heels of Nepal’s women’s team, who previously qualified for the finals. The women’s pair of Kamala Pun and Manisha Chaudhary defeated the Uzbekistan B team (21-13, 21-12) to secure their place in the championship match.
Both the men’s and women’s teams will compete in their respective finals today. The men’s team will face Maldives A, while the women’s team will challenge Uzbekistan A.
