Nepal’s star forward Sabitra Bhandari has been crowned the top scorer of the WAFF Women’s Championship, showcasing her exceptional talent with 9 goals in 4 matches. This includes a thrilling hat-trick performance. Despite having to miss the final against Jordan due to club commitments, Bhandari’s goalscoring prowess was a driving force throughout the tournament.

Nepal fought valiantly in the final held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, ultimately becoming runner-up after a 5-3 loss in a penalty shootout against Jordan. Jordan’s captain Maysa Jbarah was named the tournament’s best player, with their goalkeeper Sherin receiving the best goalkeeper award.
