The Nepal stock market extended its losing streak, with the NEPSE index falling 17.01 points to close at 2031.55 on the first trading day of the week. This follows a continuous decline from Tuesday to Thursday.
Most sectors experienced losses, with the small finance group suffering the steepest declines. Kisan Laghubitta and Buddhabhumi Hydropower Company shares dropped 10%, triggering a negative circuit.
Despite the overall downturn, Bottlers Nepal Balaju and Sarbottam Cement shares surged 10%, reaching a positive circuit.
Trading volume reached two billion 48 crore 91 lakh rupees on 70 lakh 61 thousand shares.
