Three ministers from the newly established ruling coalition officially took the oath of office and secrecy at Sheetal Niwas, the President’s Office, on Monday.
The swearing-in ceremony saw Padam Giri representing CPN-UML, Hit Bahadur Tamang from the CPN-Maoist Center, and Dol Prasad Aryal (DP) from the Rastriya Swatantra Party assuming their responsibilities.
President Ramchandra Poudel officiated the oath-taking event on Monday evening as the trio embraced their roles as ministers without assigned portfolios.
Noteworthy is the inclusion of Padam Giri, formerly the Minister of Health and Population, and Dol Prasad Aryal, the former Minister of Labor and Employment, representing the UML’s participation in the government.
The swearing-in ceremony garnered the presence of Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ Speaker of the House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire, along with other distinguished figures from constitutional bodies, high-ranking officials from diplomatic missions, and senior government officials.
