Biratchowk, Nepal – Jokh Bahadur Mahara, the newly appointed Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, will face a vote of confidence on Friday, April 12th. The Provincial Assembly meeting has been scheduled by Speaker Tularam Gharti Magar for 1 pm.
Mahara was appointed as Chief Minister last Friday with the backing of 48 MPs, exceeding the 44-seat majority required in the 87-member assembly. His coalition includes the UML, Maoist Center, Civil Liberation Party, JSP, CPN-S, and an independent MP.
