A newborn baby boy, approximately 3 days old, was tragically found dead on the banks of the Manahari River in the Ramauli Bangetol area of Makwanpur’s Manahari rural municipality. The body has been transferred to Hetaunda Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
“The investigation into who discarded the baby is ongoing,” stated Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson Lakshmi Bhandari. “At this stage, we have no leads.”
This disturbing incident marks the third newborn found abandoned in Makwanpur within the past two months. Sadly, two of these babies were discovered dead, while one was found alive. Authorities have been unable to locate the mothers of any of these infants.
