Genki, for his part, claims that he has not seen a unit of the Nintendo Switch 2. Supposedly what he showed — a 3D print — is based on information leaked so far. Well now in a video the journalist Julien Tellouck affirms that Nintendo’s lawyers are aware of the situation.

Tellouck noted ‘I talked to the guy from Genki, right behind me.’ This person, whose identity was not revealed, was the one who made comments to him about it.

According to this reporter ‘he told me that Nintendo had already sent lawyers to them.’ Later, he highlighted ‘but Genki has nothing to worry about because they have never signed any paper with Nintendo, no confidentiality agreement, no NDA’.
That is, a confidentiality agreement, and Genki is not a licensee of this company. Although we would have to look at the legal responsibility of showing a Nintendo Switch 2 that is not actually one.
Genki (who makes gaming accessories for the Switch and other hardware) claims the Switch 2 will launch in April. It also claims their Switch 2 mockup is based on a real Switch 2.

Only a lawyer knows if it is possible to sue one company for displaying a false or unauthorized image of another’s product. However, the Genki employee that Julien Tellouck interviewed told him ‘so the Japanese brand is safe’.
