NPL 2024: International Coaches and Players Joining So Far

Kathmandu, Nepal – The Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024 is set to be a spectacle of cricket, with a strong international presence. Several renowned coaches and players from around the world have been roped in by the various franchises to bolster their squads.

One of the most notable signings is that of Brad Hodge by the Sudurpaschim Royals. The Australian legend, a 2007 World Cup champion, brings a wealth of experience to the team. Hodge has coached in various leagues around the world, including the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Another high-profile appointment is Pubudu Dassanayake as the head coach of the Janakpur Bolts. Dassanayake has a history with Nepal cricket, having guided the team to their maiden T20 World Cup in 2014.

The Pokhara Avengers have also made a significant move by appointing Rajiv Kumar as their head coach. Kumar, a former Indian first-class cricketer, has extensive coaching experience, including stints with the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.

In addition to these coaching appointments, several international players have also signed up for the NPL. Chitwan Rhinos have secured the services of Umesh Patwal, while the Biratnagar Kings have added Kevin O’Brien to their squad.

The NPL is scheduled to take place from November 30 to December 21 in Kathmandu. With a strong contingent of international coaches and players, the tournament promises to be a thrilling affair for cricket fans in Nepal.
