A 35-year-old man has died following a collision involving a Sumo vehicle in Bhaktapur.
The deceased has been identified as Man Bahadur Gharti, a resident of Baglung Galkot Municipality-10.
The incident occurred around 9:30 pm on Friday in Bhaktapur Municipality-1 Ghalate. Gharti was struck by Sumo No. Ba 13 cha 2265, which was traveling from Sallaghari towards Suryabinayak.
According to the District Police Complex Bhaktapur, Gharti sustained serious injuries in the collision and was transported to Bhaktapur Hospital for treatment. He succumbed to his injuries during the night.
The driver of the Sumo, 54-year-old Madhukar KC of Dhulikhel-9, Kavre, has been apprehended by the police.
