A tragic accident on the Narayangadh-Muglin road last night claimed the life of one person and injured 22 others. The collision, which occurred around 12:30 am near Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29 Satrakilo, involved four vehicles.
According to Chitwan District Police Office spokesperson DSP Bhesraj Rijal, the deceased is estimated to be a young man between 16 and 17 years old. His identity is yet to be determined.
Five of the injured are in critical condition, while the remaining 17 have sustained moderate injuries. All are receiving treatment at Kurintar Basic Hospital and New Medical College Bharatpur.
The accident involved a car (Ba 4 Kha 9086) traveling from Kathmandu to Pyuthan, a bus (Na 3 Kha 7915) heading towards Muglin from Narayangadh, another bus (Na 7 Kha 3248) on its way from Kathmandu to Mahottari Bardibas, and a third bus (Na 6 Kha 8968) traveling from Birgunj to Kathmandu.
The collision caused a temporary blockage on both sides of the road. However, traffic has since resumed normal flow, police informed.
