Dhankuta: A tragic pick-up vehicle accident occurred in Sangurigadhi 6, Mukten, Dhankuta district, resulting in one death and three injuries.
The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Nir Bahadur Magar, a resident of the same area. According to local authorities, Magar died instantly at the scene of the accident.
The incident took place on Friday night at approximately 9:15 PM. The pick-up vehicle, with the registration number Co. 2 Ch 1105, was traveling from Mukten to Namje when it veered off the road and plunged about 70 meters down a slope.
Three people were injured in the accident: 34-year-old Rajkumar Magar, 39-year-old Mina Magar, and their 6-year-old daughter, Shreya Magar. The injured victims are currently receiving medical treatment at the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.
The driver of the pick-up, Amir Magar from Udayapur, has been detained by the area police office in Bhedetar. Local police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
