A tragic motorcycle accident occurred on Thursday night in Bhadrapur, Jhapa, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries.
The collision took place around 10:30 PM on the Charali-Chandragadhi road section at Hanuman Chowk, Bhadrapur Municipality Ward No. 10. A motorcycle with license plate number 1-01-014 Pa 993, traveling from Charali to Chandragarhi, collided head-on with another motorcycle with license plate number Me 8 Pa 2835, coming from the opposite direction.
The driver of the motorcycle going from Charali to Chandragarhi, 24-year-old Alok Bhandari of Bhadrapur, succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to Omsai Hospital in Bhadrapur.
Two other individuals were also injured in the accident. Bipansu Raut, 24, a resident of Bhadrapur Municipality Ward No. 10, was riding behind Bhandari and sustained serious injuries. He is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital. The motorcyclist of Me 8 Pa 2835, 25-year-old Sanjib Giri, is also in critical condition and is undergoing treatment at Birta City Hospital in Birtamode.
Local authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
