A child’s body has been recovered from the Sunkoshi River in Nepal, where three children went missing after the Holi festival. Authorities continue the desperate search for the remaining two.

Three children went missing in Nepal’s Sunkoshi River on Sunday after celebrating the Holi festival in Dhaplang, Ward No. 14 of Triyuga Municipality of Udayapur. Tragically, the body of 9-year-old Rhythm Magar was discovered on Tuesday, approximately 1 kilometer downstream from Dhaplang Ghat. This heartbreaking development was confirmed by DIG Anjani Kumar Pokharel of the Armed Police’s Baraha Wing.

The body has been transferred to the district hospital, where a post-mortem will be conducted. Search operations are ongoing for the two remaining missing children, with armed police divers, residents, and other volunteers working tirelessly to find them.
