One person is missing, presumed drowned, after an incident in the Karnali River on Wednesday evening.
According to police reports, 41-year-old Dhan Bahadur Pun went missing while bathing in the Karnali River in Mohanyal Rural Municipality-4 around 5:30 pm.
Pun, a resident of Swargadwari Municipality-1 Jimri in Pyuthan, was working on clearing stumps in the Mohanyal community forest. After work, he went to bathe in the river but is reported to have drowned and disappeared.
A search operation is currently underway by the Pandaun area police office.
