Pakistan elected to bowl first and restricted Canada to a score of 106 for 7 wickets. Mohammad Amir led the Pakistani bowling attack with impressive figures of 2 wickets for 13 runs in his four overs. Aaron Johnson was the lone bright spot for Canada, scoring a valiant 52 runs off 44 balls.
In reply, Pakistan chased down the target comfortably, reaching 107 runs for 3 wickets in 17.3 overs. Mohammad Rizwan anchored the Pakistani innings with an unbeaten knock of 53 runs, while Babar Azam chipped in with 33 runs.
This win gives Pakistan 2 points in Group A and keeps them in contention for a spot in the Super 8.
