Parsa police apprehended four individuals on charges related to an illegal hundi business. The arrests occurred in Birgunj Metropolitan City-10. Those arrested have since been released by police.
The individuals arrested include:
- Kunal Kumar Jaiswal (32) of Birgunj Metropolitan Municipality-10
- Birendra Sah Teli (39) of Birgunj-22
- Rekha Kumari Sah (20) of Birgunj-22
- Mitukumar Kurmi (25) of Jagarnathpur Rural Municipality-6
Authorities seized the following during the arrests:
- 13 checkbooks from various banks
- 66 cut checks
- 5 deposit slips
- 4,03,000 in cash
An investigation is underway under the Banks and Financial Institutions Act, of 2073.
