Pathao Rides Coming to Biratchowk and Beyond

Biratchowk, Nepal – Pathao, a popular ride-sharing service, is set to significantly expand its operations across Nepal including our hometown Biratchowk. The company announced that its bike ride service, previously limited to the Kathmandu Valley and Chitwan, will soon be available in 17 more cities across the country.

“We are expanding Pathao’s service to facilitate inter-city travel and bookings,” said Asheem Man Singh Basnyat, Managing Director of Pathao Nepal.

Expansion Details

Pathao will offer its services in the following cities:

  • Koshi Province: Biratnagar, Damak, Urlabari, Biratchok, Itahari, Inaruwa, Dharan, Birtamod, Bhadrapur
  • Madhes Province: Birgunj, Janakpur
  • Bagmati Province: Hetauda
  • Gandaki Province: Pokhara
  • Lumbini Province: Butwal, Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa
  • Sudurpaschim Province: Dhangadhi

Rider Registration Now Open

Pathao has begun registering bike riders in the targeted expansion cities. Interested individuals can apply with a renewed license, billbook, and insurance documents. Online training is provided after the paperwork is complete. Aspiring riders can contact Pathao through their social media pages, by calling 01-5970099, or by downloading the “Pathao Drive” app from the Play Store.

Pathao’s Commitment to Customers and Riders

Currently, over 200,000 individuals utilize Pathao’s services, including over 190,000 bike riders, 10,000 taxi drivers, and 5,000 food delivery personnel. Beyond ride services, Pathao offers food delivery, marketplace, and parcel options.

Pathao prioritizes safety, providing Nepal’s highest ride-sharing insurance coverage. This includes up to 10 lakh rupees for death or dismemberment and up to 1 lakh rupees for accident-related medical expenses. Pathao also offers 24-hour customer care.
