In a raid conducted on Monday afternoon, police in Sankhuwasabha apprehended two individuals. The arrests took place at Sabhakhola, which falls under Chainpur Municipality-11.
The identities of the arrested have been revealed as 27-year-old Basanta Kumal and 27-year-old Bikas Kumal, both residents of Tumlingtar in Khandbari Municipality-9. The arrests were made during a routine check at a temporary police post in Sabhakhola.
The individuals were riding a motorcycle (Ko. 17 Pa 1189) when the police stopped them. A search revealed that they were carrying 100 grams of gunpowder, 2 detonators, 200 grams of neogel, and a khurpa. The police are currently investigating the matter further.
