BHUTAHA, Sunsari – A clash between two groups in Harinagar Rural Municipality-1, Bhutaha, escalated into violence, prompting police intervention. Officers fired six rounds into the air and deployed 11 rounds of tear gas to disperse the crowd.
The conflict reportedly began after a young man was assaulted. In response to the escalating violence, local authorities have issued an indefinite prohibitory order.
Koshi Province Police Spokesperson Superintendent of Police Deepak Sigdel confirmed the aerial gunfire during crowd control efforts. Four individuals sustained minor injuries in the clash and have been transported to Biratnagar for medical treatment.
