Police confiscated 15 kilograms of charas(hashish), an illegal drug, at Tribhuvan International Airport. The drugs, destined for London via Doha on Qatar Air, were discovered on Tuesday and the seizure was made public on Wednesday.
Central Police Spokesman Bhim Prasad Dhakal revealed that the charas were concealed within 18 photo frames and were detected during a cargo check at the airport’s customs office X-ray machine.
The seized drugs have been transferred to the Narcotics Control Bureau of Nepal Police in Koteshwor for further investigation.
