Political Advisor Khagendra Khadka Passes Away

Professor Khagendra Khadka, the esteemed Central Advisor of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center), breathed his last on Tuesday at the Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center in Harisiddhi, Lalitpur.

The party’s General Secretary, Dev Gurung, issued a heartfelt condolence statement, expressing the profound shock and grief that has engulfed the entire party following the demise of their revered advisor. “The passing of Professor Khagendra Khadka has left an irreparable void for the party, the people, and the nation,” Gurung lamented. “We have lost a promising intellectual personality whose contributions will be greatly missed.”

Born on September 28, 1951, in Ward No. 4 of Belaka Municipality, Udayapur, Khadka had been an integral part of the communist movement for decades. He joined the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center) in 2064 BS (2007 AD) and served as a highly regarded Central Advisor, lending his expertise and guidance to the party’s endeavors.

Khadka leaves behind a legacy of unwavering commitment to his ideals and a lifetime of service to the nation. His four daughters, currently residing in Dhapasi, Tokha Municipality, mourn the loss of their beloved father.

According to the Maoist Center, the final respects and funeral ceremonies for Advisor Khadka will be held at Pashupati Aryaghat at 6 pm on Wednesday, allowing the nation to bid farewell to a true intellectual giant and a stalwart of the communist movement.
