The body of a 49-year-old man, Sahdev Bajgain, was discovered Thursday morning inside his chicken farm in Sundarharaicha Municipality, Morang district, according to DSP Gyanendra Bahadur Basnet, spokesperson for the Morang Police.
Bajgain, who resided near the farm, was found around 10:30 am (July11), said DSP Basnet. The body reportedly showed signs of significant head trauma and other injuries.
Police suspect the farm’s workers might be involved in the murder, as two workers are reportedly missing since the incident. An axe and bloodstained firewood were found at the crime scene. The injuries on the body are consistent with an attack by an axe and a stake, according to investigators.
Morang police are currently searching for the suspects.
