Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda arrived in New Delhi this afternoon to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Upon his arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Prime Minister Dahal was welcomed by a special representative from the Indian government, as confirmed by the Ministry of External Affairs in Delhi.
Narendra Modi, leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, is set to take the oath of office for his third term as India’s Prime Minister this evening. Following the ceremony, Prime Minister Dahal is expected to meet with Prime Minister Modi, according to the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi.
Accompanying Prime Minister Prachanda are his personal secretary Ganga Dahal, Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Padam Giri, Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal, and other senior government officials. Prime Minister Dahal is scheduled to return to Nepal on Monday.
