Salyan, Nepal: A 20-year-old pregnant woman has died in Salyan district. Asmita Kumai, from Kumakh Rural Municipality-5, Jharkanda, passed away while being transported to Mission Hospital Chaurjahari for treatment.
Kumai experienced sudden respiratory difficulties after having dinner on Sunday evening. Despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her illness on the way to the hospital.
According to Mansingh Oli, head of the Health Branch in Kumakh Rural Municipality, Kumai had a history of respiratory problems dating back to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2076/077. It is suspected that these underlying issues contributed to her untimely demise.
