President Ram Chandra Poudel has been admitted to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) to undergo surgery for a prostate-related issue. He was admitted earlier today for the scheduled procedure.

A team led by Professor Dr. Bhola Raj Joshi is performing the surgery. According to the medical team, the issue is not serious and is being addressed as a planned measure.

President Poudel has been on medication for his prostate condition for the past 15–16 years. One of the attending doctors mentioned that the surgery was scheduled at an appropriate time to address the issue. “It’s a minor problem related to the prostate, and the procedure is being done as planned,” a hospital source said.

The surgery is expected to be completed today, and initial procedures have already begun. Doctors involved in the treatment mentioned that President Poudel might need to stay in the hospital for a day or two, although no final decision has been made on this yet.
